It's time for Aries Self Care ❤️

Before I started my in depth study of Astrology, health & wellness was my first love. I learned from experience that you could heal whatever you had going on in your mind & in your heart by working with the body.

I realized that self care was the highest form of self love.

Awareness is the first step, but it’s not enough to see true changes in your life. This is where self care comes in. It’s the embodiment practice that creates space in our nervous system for the evolution of the fire energy within.

It’s how you teach your body to feel safe during life’s big changes. This is what the transformation of fear into courage looks like, thru the development of will.

The driving force behind Aries is Mars, the planet of action, freedom, independence, & self determination. All the things that contribute to the expansion of courage.

 

It’s a scary world out there. In matters of survival, it’s eat or be eaten. But we’re way past that point. The things that eat us now are our own fears. The ones we don’t face, eat at us internally.

This is when the shadow side of Aries comes out. Rage, irritability, insensitivity, aggression.

These qualities of Aries come out when there’s a new, threatening reality to adjust to. Aka, when it’s time to change.

Luckily, Mars gives us assertiveness training. To help us develop the willpower to face the changing realities of life.

Where must we be more assertive in order to reduce pointless conflict & suffering?

Because without directing this aggression, we end up fighting for nothing. We find ourselves on the low road of Aries & can become unspeakably cruel, unpardonably selfish, & insensitive beyond comprehension.

We go from “survival instinct” to “killer instinct.” We no longer fight for what we love & we let fear make our decisions.

To be driven by fear is to be in a state of stress. Chronic stress becomes stagnant energy. Remember, Aries signifies change.

The planet of action helps us take our power back thru the body. Self care is how we give Mars a healthy outlet.

Because we are multidimensional beings, we can work with the body to move stagnant energy out of the mind, which is where fear originates. Fears that grow, manifest in physical reality as illnesses we don’t want & life situations that we don’t prefer.

So how do we do this? Thru movement & breathwork.

Why does this work? Because it brings you into the present moment, where fears dissolve. In the present, there is no perceived danger from our past or future.

In the present, you are safe.

When you are safe, you survive.

You’re no longer driven by fear. You are driven by will.

When there’s a will, there’s a way. A way to live the life you want.

You can do any kind of movement that gets your blood pumping & any breathing exercises that improve oxygen flow.

I like box breathing thru the nose: inhale 4 seconds, hold 4 seconds, exhale 4 seconds, hold 4 seconds, repeat.

I love running, but also walking, hiking, or playing outside with my dog.


However, I highly recommend yoga because it integrates movement & breathwork into a single practice.

For intermediate: 40 Min Aries Yoga Flow

For advanced: 25 Min Kundalini Yoga Flow


These are all healthy & aligned practices to keep that inner fire burning strong.
